Yes, February 12 is a great release date for Middle Grade books. (It’s also the day my son turns eight and enters Middle Grade age!) Four ARCs is too many for one post, so this afternoon, I present the funny new books edition. Each is #2 🤣 in a wacky and absurdist MG fantasy series.

THE UNBELIEVABLY SCARY THING THAT HAPPENED IN HUGGABIE FALLS brings us back to that strange town where everybody’s name is alliterative and all streets have the same name.
Everybody’s worst fears are terrorizing Huggabie Falls courtesy of a mad scientist and his neurotic prisoner. Grownups being useless, it’s up to preteen sleuths Cymphany Chan, Kipp Kindle, and Tobias Treachery to save the city from Porta-potty-eating T-Rexes, piano-throwing Brussels sprouts, and pretentious beatnik poets.
